Obama Campaign, Senator Craig and Bathroom Stalls, and More....
"In The Booth," Monday, October 1st
What an interesting radio show we had this week.
The show started with the very important discussion of bathroom stalls as we discussed Senator Craig and events since his trip into the restroom of the Minneapolis Airport. Then, today, I see that the judge he had appealed to indicated Sen. Craig's original plea of guilty could not be withdrawn.......because you are guilty Senator! He has, of course, withdrawn his offer to resign on September 30th so that he can continue serving in the Senate, raking in the nice pay and benefits, and so he can clear his good name - sounds like taxpayer money well spent again.
This week's guest was former Mayor of Denver (and former Secretary of Transportation and Secretary of Energy) Frederico Pena. Wow, he was a great interview. Very well informed and very well spoken. He came on the show to campaign for Senator Obama. I remain disappointed that Obama is willing to negotiate with terrorists like Iranian President Ahmadinejad, as this simply legitimizes them as world leaders. We need to avoid anything that will elevate these terrorists. Mr. Pena also suggested that Obama has plenty of experience to be in the White House, even though he has served less than one term in the Senate. He argues that little DC experience is actually good - could be I guess, but I remain weary of Obama as a candidate.
